Justice for Camp Lejeune Victims

The public water supply at the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina was contaminated with toxic chemicals from the years 1953 until 1987. Anyone who worked at, lived at, or visited Camp Lejeune during those years suffered from potential exposure and can be facing serious health issues as a result.

Recognizing the danger, Congress passed the Camp Lejeune Justice Act, which offers victims the right to seek compensation for the harm they’ve suffered.

Relief for Victims

Many service members and their families have suffered cancer, neurological problems, and other health issues as a result of the contamination. Since Congress has finally taken action to ensure that victims can have their claims heard in court, Bond Law, PLLC will soon begin pursuing these lawsuits on behalf of eligible claimants.

To be eligible to pursue a claim under the new law, you must have lived at, worked at, or visited Camp Lejeune for at least 30 days between August 1, 1953 and December 31, 1987. The 30 days do not need to be continuous or consecutive.

Relief is available for:

  • Active duty and former service members
  • Family members living on base
  • Non-military staff
  • Families of deceased victims

Even in-utero victims who were not yet born when their mother was residing at Camp Lejeune may be eligible to receive compensation.

Water from contaminated wells was used for drinking water in homes and daycare facilities, the hospital, and in work facilities on the base. This contaminated water is linked to at least 15 different medical problems including birth defects, cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and reproductive problems. Hundreds of thousands of people were unexposed unknowingly and have suffered as a result.
